Drone Interceptors & Counter-UAS (C-UAS) Systems.

A drone interceptor is a counter-UAS (C-UAS) solution that catches hostile drones in the air and destroys them. BASAT-Bi is a compact, high-speed interceptor developed to protect critical sites, bases and forces on the move against low-altitude air threats.

It integrates with ground-based radar and EO sensors: after detection it flies autonomously to the target area, locks on with EO/IR terminal guidance and, with operator approval, destroys the target by proximity detonation. If no target is acquired, it returns and belly-lands for reuse.

Engagement Chain

  • 01Detect — radar / camera identifies the threat
  • 02Launch — ready in 30 s from the transit case
  • 03Track & lock — AI-assisted EO/IR terminal guidance
  • 04Approve — human-in-the-loop, mid-mission operator override
  • 05Eliminate — 500 g warhead with 10 m proximity sensor, or hit-to-kill
  • 06C2 integration — STANAG 4586 adaptable

BASAT-BI is a compact, high-speed counter-UAS interceptor that protects critical sites, bases and forces on the move against low-altitude air threats. Integrated with radar and EO sensors, it unites detection, launch, autonomous lock-on, operator approval and proximity-detonation kill in one engagement chain. Its avionics and propulsion are designed and built in Türkiye.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a drone interceptor?

A drone interceptor is an unmanned aircraft launched at a hostile drone to physically neutralise it in the air — a hard-kill option where soft-kill methods such as jamming are not enough.

Which targets can BASAT-Bi engage?

It is designed to engage all UAS groups with an airspeed of up to 400 km/h (fixed- and rotary-wing), as well as military helicopters and military fixed-wing aircraft.

How quickly is BASAT-Bi ready to launch?

With a charged battery it is ready in 30 seconds from its transit case, or in 3 minutes when rail-mounted from stowage.
