Target Drones & Aerial Target Systems.

A target drone is an unmanned aircraft that lets air-defense units train their radar, missile and gun systems against realistic threats. ÇEPNİ TARGET is a reusable aerial target system that presents as a fighter-, helicopter- or missile-class threat.

Target Drones & Aerial Target Systems

Launched from a vehicle rail or pneumatic catapult, it flies pre-programmed threat profiles and returns by belly landing for the next sortie — at a low cost per shot. A single operator deploys it from a container in under 30 minutes.

Training Capabilities

  • 01RCS augmentation: Luneberg-lens reflectors present fighter, helicopter or missile signatures
  • 02IR signature source: wing-tip IR emitters and optional flares
  • 03Threat profiles: low-level penetration, sea-skimming, pop-up and evasive manoeuvres
  • 04Range safety: flight termination system (FTS) and ADS-B / transponder
  • 05Belly-landing recovery for repeated, low-cost sorties
  • 06Multi-target swarm to simulate saturation attacks (optional · future)

Fixed-Wing Medium-Range Tactical UAV · ISR / Strike

ÇEPNİ is a fixed-wing tactical UAV with selectable configurations by mission profile. Its modular wing and fuselage let a single operator deploy it from containerized storage in under 30 minutes, while heavy-fuel EFI propulsion and a low-RCS carbon fiber airframe deliver a range of over 500 km. It launches without a runway from a pneumatic catapult, vehicle rail or RATO booster.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a target drone?

A target drone is an unmanned aircraft used to train air-defense systems and crews in detecting, tracking and engaging a realistic airborne threat.

Which threats can ÇEPNİ TARGET simulate?

Luneberg-lens reflectors enlarge its radar cross-section so it appears as a fighter-, helicopter- or missile-class threat, while wing-tip IR emitters provide a thermal signature for IR-guided missile and IRST training.

Is the target drone reusable?

Yes. Its reinforced fuselage allows belly landing on prepared or unprepared ground, so the airframe is recovered and flown again on the next sortie.
