Maritime Drones — Naval Strike & Surveillance.

Maritime drones are unmanned aircraft designed for coastal and open-sea operations, built to withstand salt water and sea conditions. Solid Aero's maritime family covers two mission profiles: strike and surveillance.

Maritime Drones — Naval Strike & Surveillance

TALAY is a high-speed maritime strike UAV that uses ground effect to fly between 30 cm and 100 m above the sea. TOYDU is an amphibious maritime surveillance UAV that takes off from and lands on water, with AIS tracking and subsea detection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why fly a drone close to the sea surface?

Flying very low over the water keeps the aircraft below the radar horizon and reduces detectability. TALAY also uses ground effect at this height to fly more efficiently, for up to 3 hours.

What is a seaplane drone?

A seaplane drone takes off from and lands on the water surface, with no runway needed. TOYDU uses this to deploy flexibly from the shore or from ships.
